Pizza Express is an excellent place to rest your bones if you've walked the length of the south bank.

The area it is in has narrow cobbled streets and just has something about it... Can't put my finger on it, but it's the perfect place to walk arm in arm at night, very comfortable.

The restaurant itself is the usual Pizza Express deal as far as the menu goes, a decent selection of thin based pizzas, pasta and salads. A chicken salad is always a decent meal - its large with good amounts of chicken - for those that baulk at the word "salad".

The interior of the place is warm and nicely decorated. The name seems to be the least designer thing going for it. The staff are good and very prompt... a bit more attentive; being further out from the centre of the city.

I agree with Alastair B, the pizzas are overpriced but they are delicious! The Romana is the best option, it's a huge pizza with an icredibly fine fine base. You can't order the romana on takeout however which is really disappointing.

Its just pizza and pasta... so some of the prices arent really justified. But any of the restaurants in this chain make a nice nigh out. Soem cute waitresses too... so that always helps.
