This is a fantastic local that has been though gastro-isation and not only come out unscathed, but may even be the better for it as old and new coexist happily. Behind the bar, huge jars of smug olives nestle next to old-school pickled onions, and pistachios are partnered by pork scratchings. There's a good selection of beer and plenty of wines by the glass, while in the summer, Pimm's and BBQ are available. Major sports matches are also shown here at the weekends , more of a rugby spot than football, expect it to get very busy on match days, high days and holidays.
