Great garden

18 Apr 08, 00:03 3* As expected

This place is a big hit when the sun is out. With a large area out front and an even bigger and better space out back it pulls in the punters when the sun is out.

A good crowd, many from garden less flats I presume with a good food menu as well.

A pint on the pavement

15 Apr 08, 17:14 3* As expected

Exit Clapham North tube station station, turn right and you will see the bright yellow building which is The Falcon. This pub is a great spot for a drink on the way home from work or on the way into town at the weekend. Its large outside patio is well kitted out with heaters and benches and seems to be full come rain or shine.

Al fresco boozing

06 Aug 07, 18:48 3* As expected

For a pub that's not on the High Street, this place does a good job of pulling in the punters.

Service is variable and, while the Thai and trad food is decent enough pub grub, the reason people make a beeline for this place is the beer garden.

There are tables out the front, if sitting on the main road is your thing, but most make for the back garden and hover in the hope that they'll be able to dive in and claim some space as people leave.

Occasionally you'll have to speak up as the Eurostar rattles past, but if you want some al fresco boozing, it's a good bet, especially when it's quieter on a sunny mid-week lunchtime.

Beer Gardening

04 Aug 07, 10:31 3* As expected

This pub has space. This is a slightly pointless comment as its generally very busy. Unmissable in its bright yellow painted exterior it has a beer garden at the front and much larger one at the back.

There is a cash machine inside so if you're caught short use it. Its a 7 min walk to Clapham common otherwise.

Quite empty during the week, it comes into its own during the weekends and in the summer. Its part of the same group that own the Sun and the Railway.

Like them it serves good Thai food. I've also heard that it has a BBQ on occasions but haven't had experience of that.

Small warning, and very small, if you sit in the front, just be careful of your bags. They have been known to go walk about.....
