Above expectations
At first glance based on location, you'd probably have some reservatons about going in here... the bug is located between some not-so-nice looking estates but don't be fooled - the owners have got this place just right.
A great selection of wine, not too pricey (the Pinot Noir is particularly good) and good, solid pub food, all cooked to order. Sunday lunch is excellent too, and the crowd a real mixed bunch... you get the old dears supping pints of Guinness mixed with young professionals and a splattering of hardcore Kennington gays.
