if you're into your history, you'll love it!

I went here on a school trip years ago and keep meaning to go back... I''m not selling it to you am I? Well it's a huge house that Henry VIII lived in. You know - the guy with all those wives - how did he cope?! Chances are you can find out here - they have tours available and loads of information scattered about the place so if you're into your history then you'll love the place.

If you're not into your history then you might enjoy the fabulous gardens outside - it's even got a maze for you to go get lost in which is quite fun, until it becomes frustrating when you can't find the way out... But that's your own fault for getting lost!

A-mazing!

Hampton Court is one of the Royal Palaces and located in a great area for visiting. It lies away from the more popular Buckingham Palace and the manic tourist hustle of Central London, in the opulent, green Surrey suburbs. A good part of the Palace is open to visitors, so there is much to view. Henry VIII lived here, there is an exhibition dedicated to him and his Great Hall is one of the highlights. All sorts of seasonal events take place here, there is an ice rink at Christmas time. It also features a maze and beautiful surrounding gardens, for which you can pay separately and enter without having to pay full whack to get into the Palace itself. The maze is a lot of fun, especially for children.
