At the heart of The Art

Above expectations
Deptford is gaining a reputation as one of the city's most creative spaces with the High Street being acclaimed by the Evening Standard as the best in London.
With over a hundred galleries, a wealth of arts venues and collectives, local festivals and an international (and highly alternative and student populated) community it's never dull.
Right in the middle of the High Street and it's traditional East End market sits a traditional East End boozer.
The Deptford Arms was taken over by artists and their friends in Summer 2007 which has added an additional and positive twist.
The locals like it, the visitors to local events and places too, and it's a hang out for artists, band members, poets, comedians and pool players alike.
There are live music events and cellar gallery exhibitions at weekends, and all local festivals include Deptford Arms.
Drinks are affordably priced, entrance to most entertainment/clubs are free. The stage plays home to film, open mic, theatre and comedy. Opportunities are also given for artists to update the decor.
Many a legendary moment. Guaranteed.
