Fantastic Indian Restaurant in SE1!!!

Above expectations
I booked the Mango Tree for a dinner for four people on Sat 1st Dec as it had a lot of good reviews online. It lived up to it's reputation. It is a small restaurant, tucked away in a side street with an unexciting view of a warehouse. However, the interior is new and trendy. The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. They were especially helpful when I left my bag behind and then had to go back and collect it.The food was very nice with a good selection of meat and vegetarian dishes including some unusual ones.We had starters and mains, including nan bread. Three of us had meat curries and one had the vegetarian option - they were all very nice. We had a nice, reasonably priced bottle of red wine and two of us had Cobra beer too. When a waiter accidentally dropped a little food into a wine glass when clearing the table, he immediately (voluntarily) replaced it with a full glass of house red. The toilets were nice and clean too.The only tiny complaint would be that they had included the 15% service charge, but luckily one of my friends spotted it before we overpaid! That may be common practice in all restaurants in London though. I don't know if it was because I was complaining to my friends about that, but we were then each offered a drink of our choice (including spirits) on the house. Overall a very nice meal, good service and reasonably priced (I think we paid £25-£30 per head for starters, mains and 2 glasses of wine each). If I lived nearer I'd go back every week!!!
