Frequently short listed for London pub of the year, the sun and doves is about a ten minute walk from Loughborough Junction over ground. It is a great cosy place for eating, drinking and being merry! Food is reasonably priced and decent pub quality, there is a good selections of cask ales and the pub often hosts live music acts. The sun and doves always has a vibrant atmosphere from its eclectic clientele which includes locals and students who use the pub as both a watering hole and a make-shift study.

My Old Local

Beyond expectations
This was my local for the year the I lived in Camberwell.
Its is a very arty place and just as enjoyable on a weekend afternoon as it is in the evening.
It can be a bit pricey but its so much better than the places around it, its worth the extra couple of quid and saves you heading further than a walk away if your living in Camberwell.

Lovely fresh sardines

This is a nicely done out place with a good patio garden at the back for smokers/nice weather. I go to the quiz on a Wednesday night which is a good laugh, but have yet to try the film nights which are Tuesdays (David Lynch season at the moment) or live music on Sundays. Have eaten here once and had lovely fresh sardines from the BBQ, although agree it is a bit pricy for the location.

Great arty pub which hosts private views and often has live music. Popular with art students, locals and yummy mummys. The bar has relaxed seating as well as comfy battered sofas and lots of unusual decorations - love the cheeky bum-shaped vase. Food is good, but a tad on the pricey side for pub grub - mains are around £8.50 and upwards.
