A glass lean-to in a railway arch houses a unique gallery in Peckham

As expected
If you've wandered into Bar Story which is situated in a railway arch underneath Peckham Rye, then continue walking through the bar into the courtyard and you'll find yourself at another arch which contains an art gallery. Not exactly what you'd expect to find in the heart of Peckham, but it's essentially a glass lean-to on the front of a railway arch housing a small gallery which is host to all sorts of weird and wonderful art exhibitions. I've exhibited a sonic arts sculpture here recently, and have been to see exhibitions where an artist created a camera obscura in the space, and there is an upcoming exhibition which contains lots of scribbles and swear-words as far as I can tell from the newsletter.
The space is reasonably cheap to hire, so it's ideal for student's end of year shows, or anyone who wants to have a vanity display of their work. it's definitely worth getting on the mailing list to find out about forthcoming exhibitions as it's one of the most unique small galleries in South London. (Plus the private views always have free booze, if you get excited by that kind of thing!)
Groups: I love Peckham
