Well below expectations
I couldn't agree more with the comments below. They tried to sell us a property that didn't have planning permission so technically didn't exist. They're NOT members of NAEA and have been banned from advertising on many big property websites because they don't pay, shock!! They took a £2.5k deposit and tried to with hold it, even though they had nothing to sell us. After much 'gentle' persuasion they issued us with a cheque that bounced but eventually they did pay up. Trading standards can't do much but are aware of them. We've now moved in to somewhere much better through a much more efficient estate agent but the whole experience really dented our confidence in the house buying process. The Hackney Gazette may be interested in any current experiences as I feel this is really tainting people's opinions of the what is ultimately a really good area.
They must be closed down!

These guys specialize in not returning deposits.
I can't believe they are still allowed to be in business. They are not members of the NAEA so legal protection is limited.
My advice is take a few days annual leave and camp out in their office - you will notice no assets in sight and much screening of phone calls - it would be entertaining if the didn't have thousands of pounds of your money.
