Spectacular View...

I disagree with both of the above. Living locally (and who is to say whether I'd agree if I had to travel there), the Narrow is a great place to have as your local.

It was recently redone to make a large portion of the outside covered over and as warm as the inside. The drinks in here are a little expensive, but for the surrounding real fire, and the view of the Thames and the rest of London that this place gives you - it's more than worth it.

Good outside in the Summer, but that is about it! My review has to be more than 25 words, but I can't think of anything else to say!

Pretentious, and that's BEFORE Gordon Ramsey

Once in a blue moon, you come across a pub which takes itself a bit too seriously. The Narrow Street Pub & Dining Room is one of these. Situated on the entrance to Limehouse Basin, the Narrow Street is a pub which acts all high and mighty, but is an absolute dump. Silver in style and design, with cold metallic bars and bar staff who were once stunningly beautiful, but have descended into mediocrity, it has become a soulless option with little going for it. In the Summer, it has BBQs and it has a brilliant beer garden. Those are positives. Those are BIG positives. Yet even then you are paying vastly over the odds for the food, and you never feel particularly comfortable because the place gets so busy that you get squeezed into a tiny space. The pub has recently been bought by Gordon Ramsey and in March will be reopened as "The Kitchen & Dining Room". God knows what Ramsey will do with the place, but it can't get any worse.
