Hidden Pleasures

There isn't much to suggest the delights inside this place if you are strolling along to 93 Feet East or the Vibe Bar just down Brick Lane. The outside tables and burger stand don't give away the fact that there are two rooms upstairs with DJs laying funky beats and live performers in the back room keeping things going. The Seats are comfortable, the drinks are cheap (although you are only getting cans if you want beer, and plastic glasses for the spirits) and the atmosphere is trendy without being nauseating. The only drawback for somewhere that calls itself a Cafe is the lack of choice when it comes to food. We could have murdered some Nachos but the slightly limp looking burgers and sandwiches sat in the window didn't look so appealing..
Grimey but good

My favourite cafe / bar on Brick Lane. I love the dingy, dark upstairs, the comfy, filthy sofas, and the semi-secret room at the back that doubles as an all-day disco. Possibly best avoided on Saturday and Sunday mornings because it attracts the pill-heads that have been up all night.
