Bike store should stock up on customer care

Well below expectations
Part of the massive Halfords cycle and car accessory chain, this branch leaves much to be desired in terms of customer service. Relentless upselling, is commonplace: if you refuse to buy a more expensive bike, you’ll be ignored in favour of customers with more money to spend. Even if the bike you want to buy is in stock, you’re made to wait several days before you can pick it up – but you won’t be advised of this fact till the end of the transaction. On a recent visit to buy cycle accessories, the items were priced up wrongly so they were coming through more expensive on the till than the price as marked. When I queried this with the cashier he just sullenly stated "Prices change all the time", then looked at me as if I was the one in the wrong. Eventually the manager agreed to sell me the items at the advertised price – a difference of £15. Incompetence and poor service abound here – avoid.
