One of the last East End bakeries

Above expectations
The bread's the thing here. They do sell filed rolls and things, but I've never tried them. However, their bread is Good; they are probably the last surviving east end jewish bakery (only my guess).
I'm an inveterate "trier", which means if I see something different I'll often try it without having the faintest idea what it might be - in a bakery I'm quite safe.
So what should you try? Beigels. Proper beigels, not those things you get in supermarkets. Onion Platzels - a crusty bread roll baked with onion on top. Cholla or Bolka - a rich bread rather reminiscent of brioche but not as rich. Rye bread - perfect with smoked salmon or salt beef. Any problems with some of those words, just point at the things you don't recognise - it's worth the chance.
