Bad service from Bathstore

Well below expectations
Having gone over budget on our bathroom we decided to return our luxury taps. Having checked with the store in Wimbledon that a returns policy existed they assured us that we'd be fine. When I handed the taps over one of the boxes had minor damage. The sales assistant said she was sure it would be ok, and that if I didn't hear back from them within 5 days the refund would be paid. On hearing nothing and receiving nothing I called twice over the next 2 weeks and was assured the money was on it's way. Three months later I check my account and nothing shows from them. I called and the taps never left the shop for the warehouse. Bathstore are refusing to pay us back because of one tiny box defect. They were rude and dismissive, even after keeping me in the dark for 3 months. Good choice of products, terrible service, terrible policies.

Beyond expectations
Mr Vlad..are you one of Bathstore's competitors who is being a tad destructive??
I have used Bathstore Wandsworth for many of my clients projects. I have always found the service very reliable and very honest. If an item is out of stock, then I am recommended an alternative. If any of you guys want to have great, honest and service that goes that extra mile, then speak to Kay at Wandsworth. She knows her stuff and always keeps me informed with even the smallest details.
Avoid Bathstore Wimbledon and Clapham like the plaque..but Wandsworth is the jewel in the crown of bathstore.

Well below expectations
On the face of it, what could go wrong with a store that specialises in bathrooms? It's a chain so they must be doing something right and seamlessly so? It sells what it says on the tin.
The shop is laid out well on two floors (ground and basement) so you can have a good look at different fixtures and fittings and the sales people are helpful and will happily discuss different types of product and answer any questions that they can. It is at the middle to quite expensive range so if you're on a tight budget don't go here.
The ordering takes some time and despite having things on show they often don't have things in stock which means that you have to wait for things to arrive.
The good things end though after ordering. Personal experience and anecdotal comments are always the same. Items not processed despite being paid for, the wrong items delivered, charged for items that weren't ordered. Redelivery of the wrong items, the items never turning up. It's chaos. According to the stores staff (yep), they get a lot of complaints as the warehouse doesn't keep an accurate record of items in stock and their orders are often wrong. We all expect some cock ups now and then but if you value your sanity avoid this place like the plague.
Just too unreliable.
