As it's right on the doorstep of the bus and rail stations you always get thousands of people milling around looking lost and wondering which line to get on: it's not difficult! Get a map!

Below expectations
Was just reading Kathryn's review and she's so right, if you don't get your tube ticket upstairs at the mainline station you'll queue for ages, but alsoi when you finally get to the tube platforms you'll find alot of the trains are over crowded anyway so you'll end up waiting for at least 3/4 trains til you can actually get on one, lots of argy bargy and businessmen who don't care if they send you flying.
Be ruthless or you'll never get on!

As expected
If you're travelling in to Victoria Station on a train and hoping to transfer onto a tube... I'd suggest either buying your ticket BEFOREHAND (at the start point of your journey)... or upstairs at Victoria...
...because of the refurb it's total chaos downstairs. You might have to queue for a couple of minutes, but it's much better orgainsed upstairs than down. It goes without saying... avoid commuter rush hour if you want a more relaxed journey!
Plenty of shops/bars/restaurants here to keep you amusued though.

Undergoing a mega refurb

Below expectations
Victoria station is currently undergoing a massive refurb which means at the moment it's a bit of a nightmare. You have to walk right through the station to find somewhere to buy tickets and then join a huge queue, so if you've got an Oyster card get it topped up before you get here. When it's done it promises to be fab, but at the moment it's horrible.

As expected
As Victoria is a massive Train station for London, a lot of people come through here, meaning that it's always busy.
Once you get down the stairs, you're going to have to dodge all the people milling about looking lost. Once you get through you'll have the choice of lines to get on.
