Casa Spa

If you have tried steam/sauna before the next step is a Hammam and the place Casa Spa, Edgware Road. When you arrive you are greeted by Madam Helen, provided with mint tea and led downstairs to change. A two piece swimsuit is ideal for an all over body treatment but a one piece is also acceptable. You are led into the steam room to steam awhile, then crushed black olives soap and oils are applied all over your body to soften and nourish your skin. You are then washed down and exfoliation takes place. The staff are very competent and friendly but if you are fortunate Madam Helen will do this for you with her lively and bubbly personality. Her interaction with everyone is warm and friendly and she brings the place to life. Mud is then applied all over your body and a deep conditioner is applied to your hair for 5-10 minutes, after which you are washed down and led to the shower where you can wash away any residue remaining. You are then handed towels and provided with fruit, mint tea and water in the relaxation area where the final treatment of a leg and foot reflexology massage takes place...Heaven. At the end of the treatments you are left with skin as soft as a baby's bum with aches gone. For a complete Hammam experience ask for the cold water drench at the begining of the steam treatment and prepare your vocal cords for some exercise. Will we go again? You Bet!

What a fabulous day! Had the exotic rural with my partner and the staff were extremely professional, the other clients that were in at the same time as us were a good laugh and we both would recommend it highly. Thank you.

We booked for 3pm and when we arived three couples had been given the same time. We were all made to wait in the cramped wating area and were eventually seen an hour and a half later.

By this time five other couples had arrived and either weren't in the book or had been given dupilcated appoinments. At one poInt she shouted at a lady demanding to know why the place seemed so disorganised that they didnt follow the 'book'!

At the end of the treatment as i went to shower she shouted that i should hurry up so that there would be enough water for the others.

All this for a £110 !

The reviews i suspect were probbaly from guests who had attended on less busy days. Not a buisness to cater to more than 2 custumers a day.

Superb hammam. You really got to try it in order to believe it. The spa is offering an extensive range of treatments from body exfoliation in the steam room to the body wrap ending with a massage of your choice I felt as I was in Marrakech when I was offered a morrocan tea in the relaxing area prior to my facial.The service was excellent and friendly but the Hammam was superb.
