Beyond expectations
If you want to treat yourself in style this is a good place to start. The recent refurbishment hasn't had rave reviews in some quarters and has beeb branded a bit 70s. But actually it's 1930s/1940s chic - gorgeous walnut furniture & film star glamour in the bathrooms. Just one word of warning - do not touch the mini-bar! Surely the only place where you can expect to pay £4 for a Mars bar & a packet of crisps (and I mean £4 each!!) Even the hotel bar is extreme... I paid nearly £80 for 8 drinks (two of them were soft drinks!)
