Expensive but ok

This place is very appealing and seems to attract a lot of people. Im not too sure why folk return as I find the drinks quite highly priced and it can be really dingy, although im sure they will tell you its romantic lighting. If you can afford to get drunk you might have a better time. Wear a short skirt to get in.

When Fresh'n'Wild opened on Stoke Newington Church Street they sealed the deal on the vibrant Hackney thouroghfare's claim to be the next Upper Street. Attracting scores of Guardian-reading yummy mummies, Fresh'n'Wild is a supermarket that panders to the grown up hippy in all of us. Everything in the store is expensive - but most of the stock is Organic, fresh, guilt-free and good for the planet. The cafe section is good (excellent Muffins), but the only seating is outside so is best avoided in the Winter.
So So 'Member's' Club

Private members club, though I've always managed to get in without any problem (without being a member). The cafe downstairs (open during the day) is a great place for a cheap lunch just off Oxford Street where most other options are pretty poor.
The bar itself, however, has never convinced me - very overpriced bar snacks and drinks. Subdued, dark decor comes across as dated faux-chic rather than contemporary cool and you always get the feeling that most people drinking there are there because they think it is cool place to hang out, rather than actually enjoying themselves. Zero atmosphere.
