Below expectations
I agonised over the star rating for this review for a long time. It is definitely a place I would not recommend to anyone, but to give it 1 star seems a bit cruel, akin to toying with a dying animal. I don't want to descend in to a rant about the completely abject nature of this venue, so please forgive the briefness of my report.
The Loop was everything I expected, but only in the sense that I expected a soulless, over-priced (£7 for JD, £6 for a watery, unshaken cocktail), grotty pit, and I was not disappointed. This is your definitive work party/group birthday/hen-night venue, right down to the chicken satay skewers and nacho platters. The only person in the place with the right idea was the guy I saw asleep on one of the leather sofas at about 10.30 - he'd got his priorities right.
