All Bar One

We went in on a Wednesday evening and by 9:30pm the place was almost empty. The music varies strangely - one evening the treble was cranked up, next day all bass! The staff were good, the food was fine if not massive portions (although there was a lack of actual chicken in my chicken quesdilla...) and just like any other All Bar One.

I like All Bar One from the new under table clips to put your hand bags to the new menu and desserts. I like the fact all the All Bar Ones are pretty much the same, as everyone knows what to expect and the same sort of crowd go in. Stylish and a nice place to spend a lunch time or evening.

I like All Bar One, i think it attracts an All Bar One style person, pretty chic and suited and booted, and really makes a good pulling place after work and at lunch times. Its a trendy place to hang out event tho it does get stick for being the same as any other All Bar One. Attracts some good looking people and thats what i like whilst enjoying a glass of wine after work.

All Bar One is a large chain of wine bars that sell food. I've never really got it: they all seem quite boring to me. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with them, just nothing very interesting.

On Wikipedia, it says that the All Bar One chain is "criticised for its lack of character, with each bar looking almost identical and its cynical owners buying up charming pubs and converting them into a city slickers' hell hole". You can definitely see what they mean by this, but All Bar One is quite a nice place with nice drinks. But that's all it is. Nice. Nothing really outstanding or memorable about it. You couldn't say anything about it that's remotely interesting. The decor is pretty if not a bit Ikea-lite. The drinks are good, if not a bit dear. The staff are nice, if not a bit lazy and slow. The people who go there are friendly, if not a bit dull. It's good for a quick stop off, but if you do forget it next morning, don't blame the beer, blame the lack of character the place has.
