Flouncy

I like the decor in here and the seating, its a great setting with a decent mood. They do some great wine by the glass and bottle and the champagne cocktails are just lush. Just what you need after work.

Trendy

A great looking bar from the outside, and even nicer in, a new decor feel, and some funky seating, this is one of the nicest places to head for a few drinks.

One of my favourites

Polka is one of my favourite bars in Soho. They make a good Cocktail (try the Mojito, and get the little Chinese bloke to make it - trust me), and have a nice, comfortable decor. The downstairs is quite small, but upstairs is larger with more seats. DJs on Friday and Saturday create a good atmosphere for a night out, just don't expect to be friends with your bank manager by the time you leave...

Fancy wine bar

20 May 07, 23:03 3 As expected

Much of Soho's post-work drinking takes part in the multitude of really very good pubs, but Polka (formerly Jamie's) belongs firmly in the Fancy Wine Bar and Cocktails genre. Dark banquette seating, high stools, stylish lighting and surly-but-good-looking staff create an atmosphere of pseudo-sophistication for the heavy-drinking Friday night crowd. Though not extraordinary, it's a good spot for a weeknight tete-a-tete or a more civilised start to your evening than a pint of Samuel Smith's.
