Unexpectedly unpopular

Looked quite nice from the outside. If you like large, underground bars which smell a bit like a gents (a gents toilet that is), with little personality and no buzz - then you'll feel at home here. Didn't seem to be many people in here when I dropped by - looked like a hen party and some geeks/media people getting lashed on expenses - they seemed to be having fun though. Outside of 'happy hour' prices seem a bit steep. Conveniently placed in 'Tourist Central' - I guess it fills up on Friday nights with people celebrating their last night in London before flying home and hoping for some action, sorry guys, might be better off somewhere a bit groovier.
Nice cocktails

Very good Mai Tai and even better Sex On The Beach in this purply decorated bar. Mojito is below average. The general feeling is average for the area which is below average overall in my humble opinion. Nice grouped seating areas with sofas though!

Now, here was me thinking that Vodka Revolution was the only place in Soho that still served pitchers of sugary sweet cocktails like Woo Woos and Sex on the Beach. Oh how I was wrong.
Sugar Reef serves them up for £16 a pitcher and transports your beverage memory back 1988. Right down to the crushed ice.
This is a typical big bar, similar to The Loop, The Langley, Tiger Tiger etc. It's generic - from the decor to the menu, but the service is ok. It probably gets a few hen parties on a Friday and Saturday night taking advantage of happy hour and the big sharing platters of food on the menu.

This is a typical central Soho basement bar with next to no distinguishing features to help one discern it from other bars of this type.
Sure it would function just fine for leaving-do drinks or similar as its got plenty of big booth style tables that you can reserve in advance.
Still, if you're after a central boozy basement bar then all of these others do a slightly better job of it:

As you'd expect from a bar just off Piccadilly Circus, and bordering Soho, this is overpriced, up itself and generally a bit poor. Happy hour made things a bit more tolerable (£10 off champagne is always a good thing) and runs until 8pm. There was a whiff of public swimming pools downstairs too.
