The Agent Provocateur shop next door to this dark entrance sets a slightly seedy tone as you approach The Player, but any such feelings will be dispelled once you enter the large bar. I've never seen it hugely busy, which does mean you can feel a bit like you're in a hugely over-price student union, but it is incredibly popular with the local media set. It's the ugly sister to Milk& Honey, and so strictly speaking, it's members only after 11pm , in reality, I think they'd take any customers they can get their hands on.
