Disappointed...

08 Jul 08, 22:28 2* Below expectations

I work just up the road from this place and walked by it a few times before I decided to try it. I had a falafel at a Maoz (Old Compton St) recently and decided to give this place a try. Right when I got up to the counter I was immediately put off by the fact that the girl helping me counted money and gave change with with food-safety gloves on and then started preparing my food without changing the gloves. Kinda defeats the purpose if you ask me.

The food was just okay. Nothing special or memorable. For a place devoted to falafels, they were a bit bland. Probably won't be back for a while. For my falaf fix I'm going to stick with Maoz.

Smells like a chippy

18 Nov 07, 04:06 3* As expected

Nice enough, good, filling, a little overpriced for a bit of dry bread and a few bits of chick pea, but then I imagine the rent is pretty nasty. And they need to sort the a/c out, as it often smells like a chip shop. They're trying too hard with not only the name of the shop, but the food itself all has oh-so-funny names, which make me feel like a right plum when ordering, especially if there's some media lovely in the queue behind me. The shared table concept is a bit poo, too, in my humble opinion. If I wanted to eat that close to dodgy strangers, I'd go to prison, thank you.

Good Mood Food

17 Aug 07, 16:37 5* Beyond expectations

Located halfway along Wardour Street in the centre of Soho, Just Falafs is ideally placed to cater for hungry workers looking for something a bit different.

Priding themselves on using organic local produce wherever possible, the vast selection of scrumptious looking salads is the first thing the customer is confronted with.

The menu itself is large and varied, offering falafel sandwiches (small or large) in various guises, soups and salads, various meal deals, smoothies, and some of the best coffee to be had in Soho.

Ordering can be tricky - your choice of food should be requested from one of the preparers, then reported to the cashier who will tax you accordingly. Mmmmm falafels. There's nothing quite like these little green furry parcels of joy. Chickpea-tastic!

Well worth a visit at any time, with great food at a very reasonable price.
