The Gadsdens

Beyond expectations
Me and my friend came down here and loved the venue. We also saw some great acts that night, The Gadsdens played and they were amazing! Never knew such good acts would play down here.
Toilets were a bit unclean, but worth th hype.

Ok make room on the dance floor to shake your booty and kick off those glizy high heels. This place is great its certainly not massive by any means but the atmosphere is buzzing and friendly.

...just don't wear high heels. I know I was asking for it going to a gig in silly shoes but there where pretty and made the outfit. Unfortunately, the nature of this place is that people rock out. There is a slippy dance floor that I found myself sat on for most of the night.
The sound is great and the band was good but the drinks are pricey, but what are you going to expect from a venue down Oxford street.

As expected
This is a basement club on Oxford Street frequented by people quite into their music. Lots of new bands play here and you can often catch bigger plans playing smaller sets..
There's a dipped dancefloor and it's always pretty dark in there. Definately a place to wear jeans and trainers and not to dress up in your best clobber.

If you are looking for a great little indie night out where you can shake about and wave your hainds in the air like you just don't care, then come here. Everyone is by far over the limit and do not care about appearance, moves or nothing...apart from having a good time and sing out loud to ther favourite tracks. Excellent!

Only ever been here to see new bands and it's a great little live music venue with the emphasis on the little.
Always a good atmosphere as no matter where you stand your are no more than twenty feet from the stage.
Many new unsigned bands and newly signed acts show case here.
If you are a fan of new music it's worth checking out

Overpriced dive

For a small gig venue I imagine this venue has some allure. For a club or dance venue this one is to be avoided. Full of underage drinkers and wanna be Pete Dohertys it become a place to be only for the smashed. Any level of sobriety will show this place to be the over priced dive it is.

Good small music venue. Nice room and when it's busy, great atmosphere. The bar a raised step and has a view of the stage. Good for nipping to get the beers in and not missing any action. One of those venues to see an up and coming act up close and personal. Last saw The View and The Underground Heroes here and I know at least The View are going well and performing in theatre sized venues. Cool decor and cosy basement feel.
