Market Place Bar and Restaurant

I prefer to drink here than eat as its more of a bar really. It doesnt get too busy and makes for a great long lunch time drink. They serve some great wine and if you go downstairs you can have table service.

The Market Bar is a benchmark of Portobello Market, is a bohémien and usually quiet bar. During the days there are tourists and people who lives in this area. The atmosphere change in the evening when there are not tourists. During the evening the bar offers music (on friday and on saturday there's jazz music).

This place is slightly off the main drag... which is a bonus because Ihate oxford street. The bar itself is cool and downstairs is a top place to while away a late afternoon early evening. Good room outside for drinking when its warm too. Spent a few nights here and will keep coming back.
