There are better fish restaurants in Whitstable, Brighton, Grimsby, Selsey and Exmouth (Australia) but if you're in London and want to eat fish and don't have the time to go to any of the above mentioned places then Zilli Fish is as good as it gets. The fish is fresh from the sea that day via Billingsgate market and you have to tell them how you like it cooked - rare, medium etc. (something I've not heard of before?)

Zilli can be chilli on a summers day

21 May 08, 18:37 4* Above expectations

I went here on a work jolly and enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. They have large floor to ceiling windows that allow a cooling breeze to blow through the restaurant cooling it down on the hottest summer’s days. The service wasn’t great but the fish and wine made up for it.

Fresh Fab Fish

12 May 08, 19:28 5* Beyond expectations

I love fish and trying new fish and there's no better excuse to experiment that when being treated to a meal at Zilli's. Scallops, monkfish, crab - whatever's available will make an appearance on the menu. I think the decor could be updated a little now but if it's summer and the windows are open than it doesn't matter too much! Plus, there always happy to help with your wine selection!

Great Fish

28 Apr 08, 22:14 4* Above expectations

Zilli Fish is pretty famous for all the right reason and it deserves to be.Perfectly located for the west end, it is busy at lunch and evenings as well as being popular with the pre theatre crowd .Great fish as well other italian dishes, ideal wine list as well as friendly ,fast service. Not the quietest restaurant with closely packed tables but always welcoming and vibrant and often frequented by its famous owner

Fantastic fish

21 May 07, 20:02 4* Above expectations

This fantastic fish restaurant is about as good as it gets when you can't see the sea from the window. Peppy staff serve up excellent food - and the science is in its simplicity. All the flavours of perfectly fresh food can come through unadulterated. You won't leave feeling over-full or too light of pocket - you will feel like you've had a great London dining experience.
