After queuing for 45 minutes we spent a good two and a half hours walking around all the exhibits. Very busy but be patient and you will always get a good view. Try and find a 2 for 1 offer for best value, there are plenty about.
Its good, but its not right

The London Aquarium is a really good attraction to visit, even if the tickets are expensive and it only stays open until 4:30 / 5. I arrived there about 4 which meant I had to get a wiggle on around the different tanks. Its a good Aquarium but it focuses too much on the Big Shark Tank in the centre which you can only walk around and not through, lots of the species are in small tanks which is a shame, but the touch pool was a nice... well...touch, allowing visitors a chance to stroke a ray.
Nothing great but if your stuck for something to do in London, you could do alot worse.

Whilst everyone else is looking for Jaws or Nemo, I stand there astounded by the huge number of fish in the aquarium. Flounder wasn't hiding in their, but there was plenty to see and do.

Can you get a 2 4 1 offer?

Can you get a 2 4 1 offer? You usually can with Oyster card deals and i'd recommend taking advantage as this place is good, but pricey. Not only are the fish amazing to look at, but you can also realsie that a lot of films and TV shows have recorded scenes in here. Little Britian anyone?

This has got to be the biggest display of aquatic life, from sharks, stingrays and clownfish, to moray eels, lionfish and crabs.
This is a superb day out, you can save on the entrance fee if you book online. One thing to bear in mind when booking is that they routinely do a fire alarm test on a thursday morning between 10am and 11am!
This place is a must see if you are in London!

fish! so many fish!

This place is brilliant if you're in London and it rains! You can easily spend a couple of hours just wandering round looking at the fish - longer if you've got kids! The staff are really friendly and happy to answer questions and the bit where you can touch the stingrays in brilliant - if not a little scary... OK, very scary! Although the kids were fine with it - it was mostly the adults backing away!
The only negative is that for what it is it's a bit pricey, but I think it's one of those things that you have to do at some point!

..this one is particulary good. It is expensive but then everywhere in London is. They have a huge array of fish from all the different oceans in the world, lots of interesting facts, as well as a huge shark tanks that can get croweded around feeding time. The shark talk is worth listening to if you can, dispells a lot of the myths associated with the lovely things!

OK, it's expensive, but everything's expensive if you're taking the children out or doing something touristy in London. I went here with four boys under the age of 12, and they all had a brilliant time and were talking about it for days and weeks afterwards.

I took my girlfriend here and we had a lovely day out. Tickets are a bit pricey and it doesnt open late which is a real shame because it meant we had to rush round but it's amazing to see the view from under the water through the windows. It's as if you're deep sea diving in the most amazing tropical waters. And seeing sharks and stingrays without the danger is something everyone should experience in their lifetime.

Brilliant Aquarium

The London Aquarium is awesome in its design. Upon going in you have a Ford Ka which is filled with water and marine fish…very cool! They may have updated the car now as this is an old model – but I haven’t been for a few years. What I know will not have changed is the huge aquarium rooms which take your breath away. They are about 3 storeys high and massive in volume, and give the appearance of hidden, forgotten underwater caves, with gargantuan statues of Mayan-style heads embedded in the ground. They have so many species of underwater life – this is a really great place to learn about marine life, it is something the South Bank should be most proud of, much more than the London Eye!

London Aquarium surprised me. Someone could think that it's strange for a tourist to go to see an acquarium in another country, but this is the biggest in Europe and it's really interesting. The acquarium is well organised and I spent a very good time with my friends...and I met Nemo!!

A brilliant place to visit and kids love it. Every time I've been there it has been really busy and it can be a bit frustrating trying to move around with the numbers of people around you but it is well worth it. Bright, colourful and interesting, makes you feel like a kid again! As well as the fish, sharks, jellyfish, octopus and other aquatic life you will find there, there is also a display on the Thames and some "interesting" articles that have been washed ashore - quite a few big brick old mobile phones!! On certain days you can see them feeding the sharks but I haven't managed to see this yet. Brilliant day out and brings out the kid in everyone.

Fish – generally not very interesting creatures but somehow still mesmerising… Split over two floors, the London aquarium is a great place for adults and children alike. There’s lots of information dotted about and you can even stroke the (friendly) stingrays at the touching pool (smells a bit though). Wasn’t busy when I went but can imagine it being frustrating at peak times when you might not be able to get close enough for a good look. There are also talks by fish experts and the like throughout the day. The souvenir shop sells hilariously random stuffed cuddly fish toys - perfect.

Touch a sting ray!

I went to Egypt a few months ago, the snorkeling was amazing, so many brightly coloured fish. As the summer here has been so miserable and wet, we decided to go to the aquarium to "re-live" the snorkeling of our holiday.
I've not been to an aquarium before, so cannot compare London to any others. But it was a good laugh. We spend an 1hr 1/2, wandering around looking at the sharks, rays and tropical fish. We posed for a photo which we picked up as a fridge magnet. Bit tacky but had to be done. The best bit was the sting-ray touching pool. A large shallow pool, where you can put your hand into the water and stroke the rays. They are like little tarts, dashing over to your hand to be pet. Reminding me of puppies wanting attention.
Great place for a date. Or to take children. Don't bother buying the brochure, not worth it.
Avoid school holidays, we went on a Sunday which had plenty of tourists and families, but we coped. In the week would be best if you can do it.
