Fab Cafe

Oh where can one begin? The interior is just brilliant. All old school memorabilia from selected TV shows, films, comics etc. The drinks are over priced but sometimes you just have to treat yorself a bit and I think this place is worth it.

The Fab cafe seems to be one of those places that you will either love of hate. My friend thought this place was awful, like a science fiction theme bar. I personally didn't like the minimalist decor with psychedelic murals but the bar seems to attract a good lively crowd which for me made it one of the better bars in the city center of Manchester when I visited recently.

A sci-fi theme bar in the heart of the city, Fab Cafe offers cheap drinks, alternative music, and a great atmosphere. The walls are decorated with stills from sci-fi films, and daleks and model monsters lurk in every corner. Entertainment is provided by local DJs on most evenings, and screenings of cult sci-fi and horror films on others. A friendly atmosphere and laid back staff make Fab a great place to relax.

Its always worth popping in here for novelty value and if you ever get a sudden craving for such culinary delights as spaghetti hoops on potato waffles then this is the place for you! BE WARNED! When you walk down the steps to get in to FAB there are no proper lights as such, its really dark and very easy to trip over something when you walk through the door and look like a total idiot! This is a crazy dark poky little bar right in the heart of Manchester, its theme - memrobila such as a Darlek, stuff from Star Wars and an ecletic mix of other bits all displayed on the wall and in cabinets! Its a sci-fi nerds dream! The place is a little pricey considering its a bit shabby and tired round the edges and it gets very hot and busy at night. The toilets need some work and I wouldn't want to spend all night in here but its good fun every now and again! Just don't expect luxury!
