In my opinion it is the students that visit this bar that really make it. You are always going to have a fun night in this place.

Jabez Clegg is a renowed student bar/club tucked away behind KRO near the Uni. I have been to a few nights here and never know why I return. The bands that have played there have either been appauling or the sound equipment was rubbish. The drinks can be cheap and cheerful. BUt I wouldn't choose to go out there for the entire night!

A favourite watering hole for students at the University of Manchester, Jabez Clegg is a surprisingly large and welcoming pub, just off Oxford Road. With a large upstairs room which sometimes plays host to live music and club nights, and a big screen downstairs showing live sports, the atmosphere is often lively, with groups of students chattering round the venue's various booths. Prices are reasonable, as would be expected in a student pub, and the staff are friendly.

This is a bar/restuarant/nightclub. As a bar it ranks really well, as it has massive leather seats and large screens to watch sky sports. Its located in the middle of the University of Manchester, so for students its ideal to pop in and have lunch or drown your sorrows after completing your exams. This place serves the biggest burgers. The burgers are as big as you face, I mean this literally. In the night, it is mainly used as a live venue for gigs and club. The nights that are run vary from metallic rock to karoake and jazz. The place is really massive and has a good number of rooms which you can rent out for a private party or meetings. Many university societies tend to hold their event here. Highly recommended for the food.

This is a bar right in the heart of Manchester's Universities and is well known among students and locals alike. Downstairs is the beer hall, a great meeting place for a chilled out drink at the start of the evening or before a gig across the road at the Academy. The clubs is upstairs and are open late with regular club nights, including a popular student night on Thursdays. Its very cheap to drink here with loads of great drink offers on pints and shots etc. Its really popular and is busy every Friday & Saturday. It plays a mixture of funky house, dance, pop and disco. A great cheesy fun night out
