Art for art's sake

Above expectations
I'm one of those boring 'I don't know a lot about art, but I know what I like', and what I like about the Tate is that it proves to me that I don't actually know what i like either! I did see an original Warhol there though (or as original as Warhol gets) and that was a big thrill.

Beyond expectations
Tate Liverpool is filled full of contemporary art pieces, including everything from video work to art to performances. Each piece has literature written by it telling you what the piece is about, which is great for beginners in The Arts. The Tate is great for Degree and Masters students also! Situated on Albert docks, which is ever so pretty with plenty of other places to visit, so why not visit the Beatles museum too!

Always something interesting to see

As expected
Although tiny when compared to the excellent Tate Modern in London, Tate Liverpool at Albert Dock is a nice collection of contemporary British work and International modern art. (Free to see except for the top floor collection.)
There are always big names on show, currently you can see works by Picasso, Mondrian, Warhol and Rodin. There is also a really nice cafe restaurant.
So if you fancy a trip to the City of Culture, it's well worth a visit!
