Beyond expectations
I visited Edinburgh in 2003 i was 17 and i found Chocolate Soup while i was walking around. I couldn't beleive they actually had CHOCOLATE SOUP and now that its 2008 and i'm back in ohio for 5 yrs now I still think about how awesome it was to find a place that sold me chocolate soup THANKS:)

Beyond expectations
I have a very sweet tooth and chocolate soup is a match for even the most hardcore chocoholic. The hot chocolate isn't made from second rate powder, oh no! huge vats of molten chocolate are spooned into generous mugs and mixed with hot milk. It is the best hot chocolate I have ever had. They offer a range of toppings from traditional marshmallows to aero pieces and cookies. I am just disappointed it's not a chain so I can't get them in Birmingham. Although that's probably a good thing, I'd be the size of a house!

Above expectations
Chocolate Soup cafe sits on the Hunters Square slightly off the Royal Mile in the Old Town. It has a great selection of hot beverages. I adore the hot chocolate from here. It's light and frothy and almost makes you fall into a sleepy coma!
