Literally Luscious

What I love about Lush is the overwhelming desire to go in and buy as many chunks of soap hand-carved from the big hand-made blocks as possible even though you have absolutely no need for it. The scents are so alluring that you can't help but be drawn into the shop stuffed with the most colourful and well merchandised stock on display.

Feel worthy as you wash

The great thing about Lush is their 'all natural ingredients' policy. You can feel safe in the knowledge that your fizzy bath bomb isn't packed with harmful chemicals that might damage the environment or indeed your precious skin. The colours, textures and smells of their products mean you spend your time in the shop almost buzzing as your senses tend to go a bit mental!
As well as buying something nice for yourself or your mate's birthday...you can feel good about yourself if your purchase supports one of the world wide campaigns they back. This often means the up-for-it staff have to don a silly outfit to raise awareness...but they don't seem to mind at all.

I've been to the Lush shop in Brighton on a couple of occasions as part of my work and always leave with a headache. The smell is just too powerful... ...this puts me off actually going there to shop. However, I can understand that some people love it. The staff there are really good fun and are always doing more than just scanning barcodes, taking your money and then saying "enter your pin, remove your card... ...would you like your receipt in the bag?". They get involved in campaigns. One of which was to shut down Guantanamo Bay... ..by selling a special orange bath bomb.
Soap and a campaign against Guantanamo Bay

The Brighton branch of Lush brings you soap and smellies and a campaign to get the American detention centre Guantanamo Bay closed down all in one delicious smelling store. They have a giant pair of orange pants in the window and sell an orange bath bomb (inmates wear orange boiler suits in Guantanamo) I have to say I'm not sure it's not a bit tasteless, but I guess if it raises the profile? Very friendly and right-on staff.

I'm actually in LOVE with this shop. When you walk past you get a smell of all the lovely things inside... which just draws you in.
There are so many different things to try... I personally like all the different types of bath bomb, one for every occasion... whether you want to perk up or chill out... and also the shower jelly in the clear plastic pots - fab!
The staff are brilliantly helpful too.

This shop smells gorgeuos, its colourful and full of interesting concoctions to poke and play with (although im sure your not meant to do that) The staff are very friendly, smiley and helpful. They do great face masks full of weird and wonderful ingredients which you wouldnt think would help your skin, but they do fantastically! Worth a visit, even if just to see the jelly soap, love it!

Whenever I go into Lush I feel like a little kid as all I want to do is poke and prod everything! I also get the overwhelming desire to eat things in there too, as everything looks like it tastes amazing! They have a great variety of products on display and EVERYTHING is made from natural products. Lush doesnt feel like it is a big company, it feels very personal! The staff in the Brighton Branch are a great group and always willing to help. Christina in particular is a great worker, and always polite and smiley.
