Unusual burgers

21 Sep 08, 11:20 5* Beyond expectations

GBK is one of the best restaurants I've visted in a long time, with huge burgers and unique fillings, it's definitely a good deal. They have delicious vegetarian burgers, so there's something for everyone there. The interior decoration is rather special, and it's certainly worth a visit.

Bur-ga

12 May 08, 11:04 5* Beyond expectations

As you may realise from some of my previous reviews I am a big fan of the burger (see Burger King and Market Diner). GBK take burger to whole new level, turning the food of the poor into something The Queen might even deign to eat. There's a huge range of choice and the location of the Brighton restaurant is fantastic. Right next to Komedia in the centre of North Laine with plenty of outside seating. The staff are always very helpful and the service is lightning fast. Give it a go.

What a great restaurant this is. Trained staff, good food, Right next door to the Komedia club for some fun and games after dinner, and, u don't just have to have burger's. The salads here are really good and sitting outside in the north lanes just makes you feel like one of the trendy gang!

Big Burgers!

Located right in the heart of the lanes, it has an amazing atmosphere with the buzz of Brighton! I went there for the first time at the weekend after hearing lots of hype about it, and it certainly lived up to the great reviews. The staff were extremely happy to help and are very smiley. They had loads of crazy differnt kinds of burgers on offer and i went for the avocado and bacon option, It was fantastic the best burger i have ever had! It was quite expensive but well worth it!

Mighty Burgers

Gourmet Burgers is conveniently located next to Komedia, which is great if you're going to a gig and only have a quick half an hour to eat beforehand. Gourmet Burger allows you to eat a good quality burger in no time at all, perfect. Personally, I like the thai chicket burger, but the variety is substantial so you could chose whatever you like, they probably have over 20 different options to chose from. Well worth a visit

Wow...that is a big'un!

18 Apr 08, 23:21 3* As expected

GBK (as it's affectionately known) is the perfect place to stuff your face whether it's at the end of a hard day of shopping, before a big night out for lining of the stomach or because you're off to Komedia in an hour's time and can't face their nachos again.

I'm a veggie and was concerned when I walked in that my options would be limited. WRONG! There's plenty for us non-eaters-of-things-with faces. If I remember rightly I had the falafel last time and it was nearly as tall as me. It was smothered in cool yoghurt and cucumber dressing...yum.

Definitely worth a visit...you won't spend your whole evening there but it is high-quality 'fast' food.

Burger towers r us

18 Apr 08, 15:39 4* Above expectations

You have never, ever seen a burger this high, or this stacked in your entire life. The portions are HUGE. Be warned, enter here only if you're seriously hungry. Which let's face it, I always am. The Jamaican is absolutely lish. Their fantastic light wall changes colours as you dine and enjoy the tastiest burger you're ever likely to eat.

Beautiful burgers

18 Apr 08, 11:46 3* As expected

I've been here a couple of times as well as one in London....I've never been disappointed. My only complaint is that the burgers are so good and so big that it's hard to get it in my mouth!!

There is so much choice and so many different options that it might take a while to decide. It might take a while for your food as well but only because all the burgers are cooked fresh and are well worth any wait.

The prices are quite reasonable and it's very convenient for Komedia which is next door. Walk past and try and resist the smells, I bet you can't.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen

07 Nov 07, 12:37 4* Above expectations

Not strictly a Brighton-only place this, but it's worth mentioning just because it is such quality grub. Situated right next to Komedia in the North Laines, it is perfectly located to always be bustling, and with such a long menu it isn't difficult to see why. What is difficult is choosing what to have with so many things on offer, but all the food is beautifully cooked and presented. Not especially healthy, but then again what burger is?!
