fantastic food!!!

My friend and i go into brighton on a girly day out at least twice a year, and she took me to this pub, on our first trip out. I wasn't sure to start with but, the food is fantastic, and it's all home made, fresh whilst you wait, and new menu everyday. So you won't get bored. The staff are fun, enthusiastic and extremely welcoming. We always have a great giggle in there, and i can guarentee you will to, must do!!!

Proper Pub in the heart of Brighton

The Hop Poles is a really popular pub, located just off the sea front / North Lanes. Quirky decor and always has a bubbly vibe going on. When I lived outside of Brighton it was a must visit place on every shopping trip. The food is fantastic with generous portions of home made food (veggie and meat lovers catered for). If I remember rightly the average cost is about £6.95 which is a bargain. Now I live on Brighton its still on the radar when in town but sometimes struggle to get a seat, despite the fact they have a developed a nice little back garden.

A visit here is a must - they just need to make it bigger!!

Good for weekend lunch

Only ever been here on a weekend for lunch and never been disappointed. Sometimes have to wait for a table but it's ok to perch at the bar. The food is good - have a bbq at weekends. The outdoor area is perfect for your smoker friends. Great location too.

Smokers Paradise

This is a perfect pub for a smoker. They have craftily kitted out the backyard to feel like the indoors - brilliant heating, excellent seating and it's so nice to be able to sit at a proper table with a cigarette in one hand and a drink in the other. Beats standing huddled in a doorway with no shelter from the rain. Always extremely busy, this pub has a real cosy feel to it and is always a nice spot to end up in.

I seem to always end up in here at the end of a night out!?

If you don't end up going to a nightclub in Brighton this is one of the other places you might end up 'cos it has a late licence. It's always pretty busy and has a great atmosphere. The decor is mad, loads of weird metal sculptures on the walls!? They have a very popular smokers garden/yard out the back with heaters.
