Ultimate Sunday Lunch

19 May 08, 18:23 5* Beyond expectations

This place serves the *best* Sunday lunch around... choose from chicken, beef or, my personal favourite, pork complete with all the trimmings. Waste the rest of the afternoon supping pints, or drinking wine, and playing cards or choose from one of the many board games on offer. A top venue.

Sausages

07 May 08, 18:24 5* Beyond expectations

The Shakespeare’s Head, Brighton. A great, friendly pub that does attract some alternative characters. They only serve bangers and mash, but have a huge range for all tastes, including vegetarians. Choose from up to 20 types of sausage, many varieties of mash/couscous etc and a plethora of gravies, veg and salad. A sausage lover’s dream.

Sausage and Mashtastic

30 Oct 07, 14:22 4* Above expectations

Unthinkable variations of the old favourite sausage and mash, choose your sausage, choose your mash and top it off with (again) your choice of gravy. The Sunday roast is awesome too, with plenty of everything and gravy on tap. With a selection of real ales on offer in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere this pub is a must visit for anyone who is very hungry, or thirsty for that matter. They have tables outside with patio heaters for the smokers in the winter, but it is also a great place to soak in some sun in the summer. Just down the road from Seven Dials, or around the back of the train station. If you weren't hungry when you started out, you will be after climbing that hill!
