Above expectations
Walkabout bars are not the sort of place I would usually go but I have ended up here a number of times and in the main found it above expectations (hence 4 stars). They often have a live band at the weekends who just bang out typical jukebox tunes but really get the crowd rowdy. Karl Kennedey from neighbours has also performed here with his band.

As expected
Walkabout in Brighton is pretty much like any other Walkabout you'll find...but without the attitude. It's a huge place with plenty of seating and standing areas and the staff are up for a laugh. Drinks are cheaper than you'll find in some of the city centre bars and they do good pub food too. The toilets can be a bit minging but all in all not a bad place to go especially for sports on the GIANT TV screens.

As expected
I've been to the Walkabout a few times now and everytime i've been there the atmosphere is amazing. Not once have i seen any trouble and they have great live bands playing.It's right opposite oceana which is the main nightlife attraction in Brighton at the moment. At the bottom of the stairs by the toilets there are some funny men drawn on the wall. My last outing there enabled a GREAT photo with me, my friends and the funny painted men with long arms.

Good fun and cheap drinks

As expected
Walkabout has served me well through my years as a student in Brighton. I would definatly say that during the week this place has a fun student vibe. The football is also always on, so you can go down there and catch an important game whilst dipping in to some yummy nachos! If you are as keen as me you can get a loyalty discount card which gets you a pint for £1.50, not bad if you ask me!

As expected
I went out on a saturday night and ended up in Walkabout - there was a live band which i was not expecting, but they were actually quite good and created a great atmosphere! the only downer was the price of a drink, but then i suppose in the heart of Brigthon you have to expect this! If there is a big group of you it is worth going for a laugh, I would not go there for a romantic night out!

Above expectations
Walkabout is a really popular 'West Street' venue! It doesn't have the typical West Street vibe to it, as most of the people in there are just out to have a laugh. They have Snakebite which is always worth a laugh, especially after 8 pints. The best thing about Walkabout is that it is opposite.....OCEANA!!!!
