Pier enjoyment!

I often wonder on a sunny day what to do with myself if i fancy something a little different to the beach... well the pier is great for this... it's free to go on, there is plenty to do.. they have arcades, a restaurant, kareoke, deckchairs looking out over the water and respective beaches and those very scary looking rides at the end! also if your peckish and are indecisive like me, they have LOADs of little places for a quick takeaway bite to eat, from chinese, (a great fish and chip restaurant), burgers, crepes, pizza etc... and unbelievably they also cater for weddings!!

No visit to the seaside would be complete without a visit to the pier...
The Palace Pier is such good fun, especially on a sunny day... go on the rides, eat the doughnuts and candy floss, play on the machines... all the tack is there. There's even a bar called Horatio's where you can do karaoke. It doesn't get much better than this.
An absolute must!

A great start to a day or night out. If you enjoy slot machines. Fair rides or even a little karoke the pier is the place to be.

One of the best things in Brighton

I love this place, it never gets boring. You can go on there just to eat doughnuts, you can waste loads of money on the slots, you could go on the rides, you could go to the questionable pub at the end of the pier...anything you like. It's a MUST DO when you are in Brighton. After this pier, no other pier will compare. Just don't bother paying 20p to look through the telescope, I can tell you myself, it's beautiful but you don't see much.

Has to be the best pier in the UK.Every time im in Brighton i make a beeline to the pier.Compared to our local pier Bournemouth, Brighton has everything going on you dont even have to pay to take a walk on it. Bournemouth you could learn alot.

I love this place!! I go to Brighton quite a lot. It's the ideal place to get away and chill out and there is nothing better than spending the day on Brighton Pier. I was there a few weeks ago and my friend and I just sat and drank and ate all day, played in the arcade and had our tarot cards read (for £20 - bit of a rip off but has to be done). It's so fun. You wouldn't catch me going on any of the rides of death as they look like they're held together with chewing gum, but it's fun to watch!

i love this place! If you can look past the chavs hanging around the machines, it is a great place to spend a summers afternoon - plus the bonus of the beach a stones throw away - result!

Brighton Pier has everything you could wish for in a pier! I love the traditional fairground type games and rides and little rock shops. It feels like summer when you stroll along here on a sunny day.

Brighton Pier - Palace Pier call it what you like, but its a place you have to visit once in your life to get a real feel for the English seaside town. If you like cheap and tacky slot machines stuffed toys candy floss doughnuts and fairground rides plus the traditional ghost train then pay Brighton Pier a visit

The best thing about Brighton Pier is that you can stroll up and down it for free. It's somewhere obvious to take anyone visiting the city and if you're a visitor it's a must. Expect an extra thrill should you choose to try out any of the rides... ...I suspect the chances of you flying into the sea are slightly higher than they should be. There are two arcades with the latest machines and plenty of 2p fun. Food, souvenirs and the like are all expensive but what do you expect? The secret gem of the pier, which is yet to get a mention in these reviews, is their infamous karaoke bar. Great fun. Look out for the man who's 70 odd and belts out a wide and varied selection of nineties dance anthems.

Can't resist those little fried donoughts

Brighton Pier is cheap, chessy and great fun. The 2p machines and the horse racing are my faves. They do those little donoughts that are just pure fat and sugar but taste amazing. On a sunny day you can't beat a stroll out to the end and back, or finding a spare deckchair. I don't go on the rides though, following a mega health and safety incident with the rollercoaster a few years back!?!

Got friend's visiting? Then don't let them escape without taking them for a visit to Brighton Pier. Even if it is for purely selfish reasons so you can play on the 2p machines! I still have no idea what the tactic is to win a fluffy toy, but I enjoy wasting my pocket money trying to find out. The rides aren't open in the evening, but the Pier Party on May 1 is a chance to ride the helter skelter by moonlight when all the rides are staying open for the evening.

I love the Pier!

As I don't live in Brighton, when I come to the city - there's one place that brings out the kid in me - It's Brighton Pier. As I walk onto the boards, I still get excited about seeing the waves breaking through the gaps in the wooden planks... I know - maybe a little sad. But the best bit about the Pier is what I've nicknamed, the Seafood Shack. It's just near the front of the pier and sells the greatest snack in Sussex. Crayfish. If you've never indulged in a pointed cone of Crayfish - you haven't lived. Try it - I challenge you not to want to rush back for more. The worst bit is though - not living in Brighton I can't have my fix of the crayfish every darn time......
