4 reviews for The Meeting Place Cafe

A good landmark

09 May 08, 12:04 4* Above expectations

This is a great place, not least because it's a landmark to meet your mates at. It's also a great place for a snack when you're on the seafront. There is a great selection, it's not too pricey and there is ample seating outside although it does get busy very quickly so be prepared to have to wait, but it's well worth that wait.

Does what it says... ...

... ...on the tin. You can't miss the meeting place. Just say to anyone "I'll meet you by the meeting place on the seafront" and they are sure to find you. If they don't then they probably weren't worth meeting anyway.

Onto the place itself. Good breakfasts. Goodbye hangover. Also a brilliant people watching spot on a sunny day. Just watch those hot bods jog/cycle/rollerblade by as you tuck into that big greasy fry up.

Fantastic - as long as it doesn't rain

16 Apr 08, 13:01 4* Above expectations

The meeting place cafe is a great place for breakfast. It's outdoors though so be warned, you'll need to wrap up warm on the 359 days of the year it's not hot enough to sit out. Nothing like having your hangover blown away while eating a fry up! My only negative... they give you one sausage and cut it in half to look like two OUTRAGEOUS!!

Perfect Sunday morning chill out

15 Apr 08, 10:50 4* Above expectations

The Meeting Place Cafe is on the seafront and straddles the border between Brighton and Hove. It's the absolute PERFECT way to spend a sunny Sunday morning... drinking tea/having breakfast/people watching. The breakfasts are really tasty and cheap. (They do all sorts of other food as well). It's not that sophisticated, but I'd much rather sit here than in some of the overpriced cafes along the seafront. It gets very busy at weekends, but if you are patient you'll get a seat. One of my favourites.
