Tiny cafe, but fab food

A brilliant little cafe in Hove... you can either buy all sorts of fresh food from the counter at the front... including pies, quiches, pre-made sandwiches, olives, cheeses, and sweet stuff...
...or sit in the little cafe at the back and eat in. There are only about 3 or 4 table so it's a bit of a squeeze, but the staff are brilliant, and so passionate about the food they serve.
it's worth a visit just to look around at the shelves, even if you don't buy anything.

As expected
Bona Foodie has a huge range of organic and locally sourced food, plus lots of specialties from around the world. You can eat in or takeaway. The food isn't cheap and the portions could be bigger but everything I've eaten there has been delicious. The tables are quite close together which is fun when you're sat next to a Hove celeb!

What a beautiful place this is, nothing special to look at but the food inside is wonderful.
You can sit in the back where they have a little cafe serving all the fresh food you can buy over the counter. I usually take the food away, salads, meats, baguettes and the best, the cakes. They always have fresh cakes on offer, which are a bit pricey to be honest but for a treat they are definitely worth it. Try the lemon cake....amazing!

Bona Foodie exceeds its name as the best baguette i have ever experienced. This is an organic/local produce only deli, full to the brim with exceptional home made organic delights. The deli part is packed with all manor of hand picked cheeses and cold meats, as well as all anti pasti's you can imagine. The staff are very friendly and will not look twice at you if you ask for a anchovy and smoked gammon and stilton baguette (havent tried it but sound great). The shop part has pots of home made jams, chutney's and sauces all unique and very elequantly dressed. They even have organic wahing up liquid and washing powder for sale extraordinary!!. If you fancy sitting in, they will cook you up pretty much anything that you ask for as long as they have it in the store somewhere. Prices for a baguette are around 2.75 each, which i know is a little steep but the taste and the amount you get speaks for its self. Shop is located on Church Road in Hove, if you go (which i more than recommend) and you eat meat, have a brie, bacon and sunblush tomatoe baguette. Fantastic wow.
