Below expectations
What you really want when you go to a DIY store like Homebase, is to find what you are looking for. There have been a few occasions when I have gone here looking for things but been disappointed. If you can spare the extra journey time then you should definitely go to the bigger one in Shoreham at the Holmbush Centre. If however you are looking for white paint or screws then you might as well just go here...oh and it's next the Tip as well which may come in handy

I've been to this store many a time and to be honest i dont find the staff very helpful, and a couple of times what i needed wasnt in stock! Also very annoying that you have to have all tables and stuff delivered. cant take home today! Booo.

As expected
This is a pretty average homebase, next to carpet right just off the Old Shoreham Road. The staff are very friendly and helpful but it's not as well stocked as the nearby branch at the Holmbush Centre at Shoreham. When I was doing up my flat I went here a couple of times for things they didn't have, some particular shades of paint if my memory serves me correctly.
