Seats just a BIT too close...

15 May 08, 21:41 2* Below expectations

I agree with one of the previous reviewers... the breakfasts in here are fab... none of this sausage and egg malarky... you get a posh plateful in here... but it's overpriced for what it is... you don't actually get that much food on your plate.

The tables are FAR too close to each other too... there's no way you can have any kind of private conversation in this place.

If it's nice, try and grab one of the few tables outside.

Carrot Cake... Carrot Cake have we any nuts??!

08 May 08, 16:43 5* Beyond expectations

Yes the carrot cake has plenty of nuts and lots and lots of butter cream.

In fact the most amazing slice of carrot cake in Brighton, the real eating company has so many yummy dishes to choose from!!

I also like their pancakes also and in the summer sitting outside is a huge sun trap - perfect!!

Over promised, under-delivered

18 Apr 08, 17:07 2* Below expectations

I had high hopes for this well-recommended eaterie. Unfortunately I felt it was over promised and under-delivered. It wants to be a wine bar bistro looking at their amazingly extensive wine list. But their choice of beers were really limited and sometimes that's all you want at brunchtime. For the price we paid the quality of the food on the plate didn't match it.

Great Brekkies!

16 Apr 08, 10:21 3* As expected

I love the Real Eating Co for their yummy eggs florentine! Not eaten there in the evening but the dinner menu looks good too. The staff are always really friendly and there is always a relaxed atmosphere. Love the deli upstairs but it isn't cheap. Overall, a nice place to wander to for brekkie.
