I stumbled across Velvet recently as I am new to Hove and now every time I am in George Street I just can't resist going in... it's got everything for the girlie girl or if you like individual kookie gifts... from accessories for the home, bags, shoes, clothing, jewellery, it really is a little treasure trove full of the prettiest things you will ever come across... and at lovely prices too... definately worth a visit.

I love velvet its full of pretty accesories, that are great to stamp your peronality in your house with and good gifts for the girl who has everything. They also do a few clothes which are unlike any on sale on the high street and you can sometimes find something really unusual and cool.

Looking for something different

Velvet is great for buying your friends who have everything something different/unusual for their birthday. It sells a bit of everything - clothes, shoes, picture frames, ornaments, cards, a bit of everything really.

I love Velvet...it's the perfect place to find something a little kitsch and a bit special for your girlie mates...or the very effeminate man in your life...or indeed yourself.

Trinkets aplenty...homeware...clothing...shoes and bags...you can easily spend a good half an hour in there taking it all in. I challenge you to come away without a little something that you weren't expecting to buy.

Velvet (both in Hove and Brighton) is an absolute must for shabby chic gifts and accessories. Great for girly gifts, cards and even clothes - so you often end up buying not just your friend a pressie, but one for you too!
