Good for a crowd

... as there's plenty of big tables outside, and you can get a bit rowdy without disturbing other diners...
I agree with other reviewers, the food in here isn't amazing... but it's ok... it's cheaper than other similar restaurants nearby so I guess that could be why.
They sell reasonably priced wine too.

There are better Italians

This is a pretty average Italian restaurant on Church Road in the centre of Hove. The things that make it good - fairly cheap, great outdoor seating area at the front, friendly staff. It's just the food isn't that great. The pizza I had was a bit dry/hard... it's not awful, it's just Leonardos (down the road, see my other review) is better.

Well, having heard brilliant things about Topolino I tried here last night. The food was really really good, not a huge menu but all the dishes were served fresh and hot. The outside area has been set up so you can dine without feeling cold, most people tend to eat out there as you can enjoy a cigarette after your meal. However, as we didn't get here til after 9, the place cleared quite quickly and I was extremely uncomfortable as the waiters were clearing all the tables around us whilst we ate. What was a warm, buzzing atmosphere quickly became unwelcoming and empty. At one point, all 4 waiters were watching us eat. Not fun and a little disappointing.

So you walk down Hove High Street and you see one Italian after another, but this is a definate to eat in. Angelo owns the place and is always in there making sure everything is cool. But the best part is the food. There is nothing fancy but a chilled and relaxed place to go with the most important thing....Proper Italian Food!
