I recently organised a hen do which included going to the Babylon lounge adonis cabaret night - it sounds good, £35 strippers, cabaret, buffet and cocktails. What a disappointment! The Babylon Lounge is an absolute DUMP - a real hole. We couldn't sit down and the staff said the ticket agents overbook the night - beware: they like to blame each other - the 'cocktail reception' was flat blue pop in a plastic cup, I couldn't even get to the buffet there were so many people, far too many for the small room. People were pushing and shoving because there was no space and when I rang the booking agent (adonis) to complain they tried to blame the club and said it was one of their quieter nights, despite having told me 2 weeks before they were fully booked. They also told me you get what you pay for so don't expect much! Strippers were alright but it feels extremely low budget when they strippers double up as staff checking tickets on the way in. If you like being squashed into a dirty room with too many people spilling drinks on you then you'll have a great time. I wouldn't go there again if you paid me a million pounds.

I recently went there for my hen night and having been promised great atmosphere, tables and chairs to sit down and enjoy the show, buffet etc they massively oversold tickets so for the whole 3 hours loads of women were crammed in standing behind the bar area, behind pillars, even standing in the aisles due to such little space etc. with limited views scrapping to get closer not being able to sit down. Management washed their hands of this, buffet was pathetic, strippers not bad though. If you want to spend an evening looking at the back of another women's head, having drinks spilt down the back of your neck and being pushed around like you're in a cattle market then this is the place for you. For the money you could get a lot more somewhere else girls - I really wouldn't bother.

Well, I'm not a big fan of Babylon Lounge as a venue... BUT I recently went to a hen night at the Adonis Cabaret that takes place there...

Being the wallflower that I am (?!) I wasn't entirely sure I'd enjoy this kind of thing... but it was such a fun night. There are 3 strippers each performance... they get EVERYTHING off... so it's not for the faint hearted!

You have to book in advance so it's not like just going there on a random Saturday night... you get fed and a free cocktail for the price of your ticket. Plus they upload all the photos of the night on their website afterwards, so you can download them yourself. If you're looking for hen night fun, this is a MUST.

This should be great.. what a shame it's not!?

The Babylon Lounge is in a fantastic location right on Hove seafront, inbetween the lagoon and the King Alfred. I SO want it to be great, but it's not. The beer is overpriced, there is no atmosphere to speak of and the benches outside are uncomfortable. They advertise Salsa lessons but I've never been. Come on Babylon Lounge - up your game!
