Great pub

Now this is a great pub. Always busy, always buzzing, great location. I love all the little nooks and crannies. This is a bar that you get a good feeling from every time you go in

It's The Wick Inn these days

21 Apr 08, 18:55 3* As expected

This is one of my locals...and a very decent one it is too. I've not sampled their food yet but go there regularly for drinks with mates. Since becoming The Wick (again) the place has had a full re-fit and looks really good. It's all dark greens and heavy wood...a little Dickensian I guess.

The funky round bar means you get seen and get served pretty much straight away...the staff are really quick and efficient. My favourite bit of the pub though are the big squishy chairs upstairs right at the back by the window. I've spent many an hour there watching the action below on Holland Road...most entertaining!

A nice little watering hole!

21 Apr 08, 18:29 3* As expected

The Biscuit Factory is a rather nice little watering hole. I like the interior, which feels ever so "Victoriana". The bar's in the middle of the pub, which you can walk 360 degrees around, and the way it's been decorated makes you think that Jack the Ripper or Oliver Twist will burst in through the doors any minute. A great atmosphere.

Now called The Wick Inn

17 Apr 08, 20:58 3* As expected

The biscuit factory is now called the Wick Inn, which I'm guessing must be it's original name? This pub is in a great location on the corner of Palmeria Square. It is frequented by a really mixed crowd. The upstairs in better than downstairs, with lots of sofas and big comfy (and less comfy) chairs. I don't know if they do food? I tend to come here after work for a few before heading on into Brighton (or home depending!?)
