Fantastic Atmosphere!

This pub is very welcoming. I went for the first time a few weeks ago to watch a live band and I had heard a few stories that the pub wasnt too nice but i was pleasently suprised.

The atmosphere was fantastic and the drinks were a good price too, overall I had a very good evening and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed evening out with good music and atmosphere!

Great beer garden

We went here after spending a few hours on the beach and in dire need of a cold drink. With the Brunswick being the nearest pub to where we were, this was the obvious choice. From the outside, I think this place looks a bit dodgy so I was pleasantly surprised by the beer garden. The outdoor area is spacious with plenty of seating and umbrellas for those wanting shade. The drinks were reasonably priced too. The only downside were the loos which were a bit stinky.

£5 to get in and the band were rubbish!?

I might sound like a right cheapskate but there is nothing worse than paying to go into a pub (cos all your mates are in there) and then discovering there is a rubbish band on who you don't want to listen to anyway. I'm told this used to be a proper frightening pub. Not anymore, it's large, contemporary and I'd recommend a visit (just make sure they haven't got live music on!?!)
