Fancy a fry-up??? No a grill-up?

This is making me hungry just thinking about going for a breakfast at the Southern Grill.

Their breakfasts are so lovely because they are grilled and not fried.

Not only are their cooked breakfasts great, but you can get all sorts of other food as well.

The staff are lovely and their service is always really quick.

Got to go...breakfast is calling!!!

This place is brilliant. Despite always being busy the staff are always smiling and serve up one of the best breakfasts around. You can't beat their tea and toast combo. Steer well clear if your watching your figure, but great for a hangover.

The air alone in this place has about 50 calories. However if your like me and you just want a great fry up,this is the place to go in Portslade.The staff are very friendly.

I love going to the Southern Grill. Smiley friendly staff and the best tea and toast in Brighton. Even better now that the smoking ban is in as you can actually see who you are sitting with and realise that for ages they have got away with the best fry up going in Portslade. Its a greasy spoon cafe - but its a great greasy spoon cafe. Keep smiling all.

The Southern Grill in Portslade is a great greasy spoon cafe. Can I suggest a cup of hot chocolate and a round of toast. Or if you've not eaten for a few days you could try to tackle one of their fry-ups. Oh and I should add the staff are very friendly.

This is the best greasy spoon for miles around...

I work nearby... and go in frequently for tea and toast at 10. The fat boys breakfasts are quality too... and they serve hash browns on the side, lovely.

The staff are really friendly... it's cheap and the service is quick.

Best toast in Sussex!

I work in the Portslade area and wherever you work you need a good greasy spoon to keep you going. The Southern Grill is just that plus a little bit more.

Me and the girls from work visit at least once a week for a large brew and a pile of white, buttered toast. For some reason toast always tastes better when someone else makes it but somehow the Southern Grill team have got this down to a fine art. Just the right level of crispiness and melting butter without being in the slightest bit soggy. Where did they learn that?! At Toast School no doubt.

When we're up for a proper treat then we go the whole hog and plump for the fry-up. They'll do pretty much any combination you desire and it doesn't arrive swimming in grease. It's dead cheap too and you always get a big smile from the staff when you walk in the door.

Now I'm hungry...
