Best Cafe on Boundary Road, Portslade

Above expectations
You're hard pressed to get anything more than cucumber & lettuce as Portslade's definition of Salad.
However, Brighton's bohemian expanded palette is creeping into Portslade with the relatively new addition of Stones Cafe.
Friendly service and great food particularly the properly oven baked potatoes, ample filling and varied salads.
Businesses on the same road/immediate area could be eligible for discounts (ask proprietor for details).

Clean and efficient - great for a quick meeting. Good selection of coffees and tea - toast and jam - or proper food for lunch time tummies. However if you fancy a treat get there at 9am when they are just bringing the chocolate brownies out of the oven and you will be treated to the biggest riches tastiest slab of chocolate you ever did taste ... and then you wont need to eat again all day.
Nice food, bit of a wait

This is a good sandwich shop in Portslade. The food is cooked from scratch - last time I went there was around 10 o'clock one morning... there were no other customers, but my bacon and egg sandwich took a good 15 minutes to be prepared... which is nice, but not great if you're in a rush.
They do a good selection of cakes as well, which I think are all made on the premises. I can highly recommend the lemon drizzle!
It's a touch more pricey than some of the other sandwich shops nearby.

This cafe on Boundary Road Portslade does the job nicely...it's only a few months old and has a nice modern, clean feel. I've only eaten there at lunchtime...they have a decent selection of snacks on the menu and the food is of good quality. My only gripe when I last visited was that they don't sell crisps...what am I meant to put in my sandwich??! They did let me go across the road to buy some and eat them on the premises though!
The staff are warm and welcoming and food is cooked to order so that can sometimes mean a bit of a wait. All in all though one of the better lunchtime haunts in the salubrious town of Peurto de Salade.

This is a recently opened sandwich shop and one of the better ones. They have a wide menu, ranging from full on English Breakfasts to some very tasty jacket spuds. You can eat in but I tend to takeaway as it can seem a little cold in there. Also, I would not recommend going if you are in a rush. They are pretty slow at preparing the food and I have often been kept waiting a good half an hour. It's also a little pricey, with jackets costing £4.50. Not one for every day!
